Christina Röckelein was born in Bamberg and received a comprehensive musical education from an early age.

Following her A-levels, she studied singing (under Karin Geber-Brandt) and piano (under Teodora Lungu) in Frankfurt am Main. She was a scholarship recipient of the Richard Wagner Association as well as the Gertrud Assmann Scholarship Fund. Subsequently, she attended masterclasses with Krisztina Laki, Claudia Eder, and Nathalie Stutzmann. Since 2009, she has been vocally mentored by KS Irmgard Boas.

Even during her studies, she received an engagement in 2004 from the Mainz State Theatre as a soloist for the premiere of Marc André's opera "... 22, 13..." and guest performed at the Munich Biennale and the Opéra Bastille, Paris. Since then, she has regularly appeared as a singer and has performed, among others, at the Nibelungen Festival Worms, the Rheingau Music Festival, and the Philharmonic St. Petersburg. In recent years, she has been frequently experienced as a concert singer, including performances of the great oratorios by J. S. Bach and F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.

In addition to her solo work, Christina Röckelein sees ensemble singing as an important component of her work. Since 2007, she has regularly performed in various professional choirs (Stuttgart Chamber Choir, Vocalensemble Rastatt, Arnold Schoenberg Choir Vienna, Vocalconsort Berlin, among others) and has travelled with them to Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, and Israel. She feels particularly connected to the multiple award-winning ensemble ChorWerk Ruhr and its artistic director Florian Helgath, with whom she has completed over 50 different productions in the past 15 years. Several CD recordings document the broad repertoire and vocal versatility of the chamber choir.

Furthermore, Christina Röckelein teaches singing and piano at the music schools in Bamberg and Höchstadt a.d. Aisch and works as a vocal coach and language trainer for various choirs.
